September 7, 2010 (far left): Keith Salvati returns to teach committee members the "tricks" in aligning and leveling bricks.
September 15, 2010: committee members install new bricks (upper right) ordered after the
dedication in October of 2009. Some layouts were rearranged (far left) to accommodate new material, and then fine sand was forced into the gaps (right) between the bricks to provide stability.
October 27, 2010: Tubes are sunk in preparation for installing small granite plaques on top listing the names of the committee members, past and present, and the bench donors. The granite plaques will be installed later in the Spring of 2011.
October 13, 2010 in Royal, Ark.: Sculptor Dave Harris works on a one-third scale version of the statue, making minor changes suggested by Bob Urquhart and Dave Gray. This "maquette" will be scaled up to full size, detailed with clay, and then cut apart for making molds. The bronze will be poured into molds and welded together. We expect the statue to arrive in early 2011 for installation.
Bob Urquhart and "Bre" Harris, a sculptor herself, chat outside the "Light and Time Design Studio" and foundry.

LAST CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY FOR 2010
November 22, 2010: The last few bricks for the year are placed, and fine sand is brushed between the bricks.

"Brick Layers" (L-R) Bill O'Mara, Jean Vanti , Bob Urquhart (plus Dave Gray) stand before the 4-brick graphic array for the Providence Marine Corps of Artillery. Other graphic arrays were also added, plus a few "last minute" corrections and additions.

MEANWHILE: Back in Cranston, in the lobby of the Joint Force HQ building... (The CRC)
APRIL, 2009: (left picture)
The first display in the lobby showed brick samples, the layout of the whole Memorial, and a scale model of the whole site.

NOVEMBER 10, 2010 (middle picture)
The display was changed after the Dedication to show the picture of the actual site and the scale model. Point being made was to tout that funds were still needed to pay for the statue and site maintainance.

JANUARY 19, 2011 (right picture)
The last display contains general information about the memorial as well as general information about the R.I.N.G. Retirees Association, as well as the maquette of the statue from Dave Harris in Arkansas.
