September 9: a week before the dedication, committee members install 22 new bricks purchased after the canceled dedication last year.
September 16: During preparations before the dedication, the color guard (left) gets a rehearsal and briefing. It also gave others a chance to meet and greet (right) while waiting for the dedication to start.
Early risers: Among the early attendees, are people wanting to look for "their" bricks. The reactions are strong, personal and often reflective.
Herding the speakers: Committee Chair Bob Urquhart makes sure the official party is all present (left) and then gets them into their seats. (right) The official party included The Honorable Donald L. Carcieri, U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, U.S. Congressman James R. Langevin, Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts, MG Kevin McBride (who did not speak), and Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Reginald A. Centracchio.

At Last: The National Anthem is sung acappella by SPC Francesca Simone, 88th Army Band.

The Honorable Donald L. Carcieri, (far left) former Governor of R.I., spoke about the importance of the Guard to the state.

Bob Urquhart (above) spoke about the history and the journey the Memorial took to become a reality, He also thanked key contributors and introduced the members of the Memorial Committee to the guests.

Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Centracchio, (left) the Honorary Chair of the Committee, closed the program with folksy homage to the memorial and the efforts that were required.
Support and finish: Veterans bikers organizations have been long time supporters of the Memorial (right).

Bob Urquhart (below) closed the ceremonies and thanked everyone who attended, The crowd was estimated to be about 180 to 190.
