RING Retirees Association Emergency Support Fund

The RING Retirees Association Emergency Support Fund was
established by the RING Retirees Association in 2012 to provide emergency financial assistance to any member of the Rhode Island National Guard or retiree who fit the following criteria:

Grant Criteria
Eligibility: Members and spouses of the RING Retirees Association and current members in good standing of the Rhode Island National Guard and their immediate family (spouse and/or children).Financial assistance will be in the form of a grant to be paid to the individual.

The Committee can authorize up to $300 by a vote of three members.

The Committee will consider requests for: emergency shelter, food, clothing, and transportation emergencies caused by natural disasters or circumstances beyond the person’s control. Medical bills (not drug related) which exceed insurance limits and burial expenses (not flowers or cards) for indigent former members will also be considered.

Application Procedure
Submit the Emergency Support Fund Application Form or a letter of request explaining the nature of the emergency and send it to the Committee:
