Dues are $5.00 per year (1 Oct to 30 September). For your convenience you can pay dues for up to five (5) years in advance. ($5. one year, $10. two years, $15. three years, $20. four years, $25. five years)

Eligibility
Active Member - Any individual who has served at least six (6) years in the Rhode Island National Guard and has completed twenty (20) years total service and retired with an honorable discharge is eligible for membership with voting rights. The privilege of voting is extended to members who are currently paid annual members or they are life members.
Associate Member - Anyone who is a current member of the Rhode Island National Guard and has received a 20 year retirement letter; or any member of the military with less then 6 years National Guard service who has received a 20 year retirement letter; and the spouse of a deceased honorably discharged retiree (who has served at least 6 years in the Rhode Island National Guard) is eligible to become an Associate Member. The privilege of voting is not extended to these individuals. They may participate on committees and activities of the organization provided their dues are current or they are life members.

Promote your association. Talk it up, ask friends you haven't seen at meetings if they know about the association. Mention it to them, tell them what we are trying to do (ie: keeping them informed of issues concerning benefits, etc). Ask if they are getting the Updater, if not, get their name and address or contact us, let us know who they are and we will get in touch with them. Also the APPLICATION on this web site can be printed. Print one out and give it to them.

To show how much we appreciate your service, we want you to have the first-year membership free! Yes, we know it’s only five dollars, but we want you to see what we offer all our members; we think you will enjoy being part of our group of retirees. Our current membership is over 650; we also send out the Newsletter to another 95 interested state and business leaders, and surviving spouses. (We do request, however, that you sign up for the next two years for $10 to defray our printing/mailing costs.
